Rico Colantoni - Question of Twitter

2017.07.14 - Vancouver, BC

As I've covered before if you subject yourself to my ramblings often, I was and am a huge fan of the TV show 'Flashpoint'.  Having now met 2 out of 3 of my favourites from that show (Hugh Dillon and Sergio DiZio)  I had been pining for the time when the third and the one from the show that affected me most, Rico Colantoni, was going to come to Vancouver. So much filming happens here that it's almost inevitable but he had managed to stay away from Vancouver since I moved here in 2008, much to my dismay.  I did find out that he had been here for iZombie last year, but I didn't know until after he had come and gone.

Timeless: You Can't Go Back

2017.02.01 - Downtown Vancouver
2017.02.02-03 - South Vancouver

Timeless has been a little bit of an enigma for me since it’s been in Vancouver.  Originally, when I heard of the pilot, I was excited about Goran Visnjic coming here to work.  I LOVED his character in ER and really always had a soft spot for his character of Kovac, the handsome, mysterious, inherently sad (and IMO underdeveloped) widower that appeared from Croatia partway through the series.  I put meeting him on my ‘to-do’ list.  The show, though, wasn’t always high on my priority list.  I was thinking about watching it.  That is until they cast Sean Maguire.  Then I was sold.  When Sean was here in town I was actually out of town in the case of the worst timing ever.  Finding their set has always just kind of been the thing that I’ll get to.

12x10 - Honest Misha

October 28th, 2026 - New Westminster

This set got tweeted a couple of days before Supernatural filmed there, a restaurant and alley in New Westminster.  I couldn't go early because I was at work but by the time I arrived in the late afternoon around dark there was a pretty good crowd standing across the street when I drove by to park my car.
I dropped my car and walked back to see that in the few minutes I was gone the crowd had dissipated quite quickly.  Talking with those around they had just broken for dinner.  Fine.  I decided to just stick around since I had just gotten there anyway.  We saw a little bit of movement from the crew but generally a whole lot of not much going on.
